John brings more than twenty-five years of military service, coupled with over six years of civilian leadership and Senior Program Management experience, which included five years in the modeling/simulation field with another Huntsville-based firm.

John retired from the United States Navy after serving 25 years as both an Infantry Marine (4 years) and Naval Surface Warfare Officer (19 years commissioned service). During his military career, he obtained certification as a Navy Nuclear Engineer Officer and served on numerous warships in positions of increasing responsibility. He retired as a Commander (SWO, N) in 2001 from his last position as Executive Officer (XO) Afloat. At sea postings included USS Mississippi (CGN-40), USS Klakring (FFG-41), USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74), and USS Boone (FFG-28).

John is a graduate of the University of Tennessee where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering. He received his Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering (Digital Systems Design) from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, CA.
